Tues May 29, The Hat Guys (Pop/Rock) Downers Grove Free Summer Outdoor Concert. Come sway, chair dance or even dance up front like nobody is watching with your PSC friends outside in Fishel Park, behind Emmett's. Music starts at 7pm, usually goes till 8:30 or 9, best to arrive by 6:30 to find a good spot for your lawn chair or blanket. Visitors can bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages. There is also food, beer and wine available for purchase in the park starting at 6 pm. Look for your PSC friends just right of center as you face the stage, about half way back.
Thurs June 7, PSC Meeting The meeting starts at 7:30 pm at Emmett’s Brewing Company, 5200 Main Street in Downers Grove. Don’t miss this month’s meeting as PSC only meets on the first Thursday of the month in May, June and July. Come find out what special events are planned for this summer, and don’t forget pitchers of beer are ½ price in the meeting room.
Sat June 16, PSC Swank Night VI At The Drake Join us for our 6th PSC Swank Night on the evening of Saturday, June 16th . We rendezvous (7pm ish) at The Drake Oak Brook for a swanky night out. Channel your inner Cary Grant or Audrey Hepburn! We’ll settle into the bar to listen and dance, have a few classic cocktails and hors d‘oeuvres,and be the coolest people in the joint! Black Tie requested or Cocktail Attire. (let’s be fancy, people!) The Drake Oak Brook is located at 2301 York in Oak Brook. Sat June 23, Arlington Racetrack – Sensational 70’s Starting at Noon. Can you dig it? Grab your best disco outfit and try you luck with a chance to win a prize for the best 70's look! Or, place your bet on your favorite horse. There's also a 70's dance off and a "roller booting" disco party, skate rental is free! There's a live band and $ 5 craft beer specials AND the Brady Bunch Punch Cocktail!!!!! Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!!! Come on out and join your PSC friends for a fun day and blast from the past!

Fri July 13, First Folio - Taming of the Shrew Mayslake Peabody Estates outdoor theater, show starts at 8:15pm. Gates open at 6:45pm so you have plenty of time to picnic before the show (Ravinia style; picnic in the same spot where you will watch the performance). Bring your own lawn chair or blanket or rent a chair for $2 each at the concession stand where you can purchase snacks, water, etc. You can also bring your own food and beverages. This is a preview night, so tickets are a bargain at $ 25.00 each & available online or at the entrance. Please rsvp on MeetUp or email Sandy firstname.lastname@example.org. Sun July 22, Craft Brew Cruise on Mystic Blue Chicago, Navy Pier Boarding starts at 12:30 pm, cruise 1:30-3:30. Total Cost is $67.86 ($49.90 plus tax/fees) for craft beer sampling (Toast to Belgian Independence - beer list coming soon online) or a “Designated Sailor” ticket for a total of $29.79. Included are 20 beer samples, light bites from the cocktail cruise menu, live DJ with dancing, bar games such as Foosball, Giant Jenga, etc. and 2 hour boat tour of the Chicago skyline. Sun Aug 5 Annual PSC Picnic at Bemis Woods (NOTE THE LOCATION CHANGE), 1100 Ogden Ave. Westchester, Large shelter # 5. Sign-up for trips will start at 1pm. To help offset the costs, we will be having prize raffles at the picnic. So when you pack your checkbook for trip sign-up, also pack some extra cash to purchase raffle tickets: 1 for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00. We will have gift baskets, discounts towards trips, gift certificates, and more. At the picnic, you will be able to sign up for ski trips and renew your memberships.
PSC provides beer, wine, pop, water, main course, plates, utensils, condiments, etc. Main course will be served at about 2:30pm YOU provide a dish to share. In an attempt to avoid 115 plates of cookies & chips… let’s use this as our guideline: last names; A-G bring a Dessert; H-R bring an Appetizer; S-Z bring a Side Dish
If you want to sit, please bring lawn chairs. Remember dogs must be on a leash at all times it is the park rule. No Glass allowed in the Park. Please RSVP with number of people attending in your family, so I know how much food and drinks we need via MeetUp or email email@example.com. Also, sign up at the June 7 or July 5 Ski club meeting to volunteer to help with set-up, clean-up, etc.

Seating is available from the stage to just past the sound tower. There is also an open area (concrete and lawn) behind the seating section for bag chairs. Both sections are general admission- first come, first served. Each ticket allows access into both the seating section and open area. Bag chairs are not allowed in the seating section.
