Sat July 27, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Fox River Journey III   (Half & Half)  Kayak rentals are $42 (a maximum of 16 rentals are available) and 2 person Canoes are $64 (10 rentals are available). We will meet at 10 am at the Hudson Crossing Park, 65 N. Harrison Street, Oswego. Yak Shak will meet us at the Hudson Crossing Park to take care of the paperwork and releases and send us off. We plan to be on the river by 10:30 AM.  Paddlers with their own kayaks or canoes are welcome to join us, but will need to provide their own kayak transport and rides back to their vehicle. A small fee of $7 will be collected for refreshments for adventurers providing their own water transportation.

Paddlers must supply their own food for the 13 mile trip. Be sure to bring plenty of water. There will be a mid-trip stop for lunch and Excellent liquid refreshments in Yorkville at the Bicentennial Park (301 E Hydraulic St, Yorkville IL).

Our excellent journey will end at the Silver Springs State Park, 13608 Fox Rd, Yorkville, IL. We expect the trip to take 5 -6 hours from launch to take-out, excluding lunch and break time. We will car pool back to the Hudson Crossing Park starting point in our staged vehicles. Once back, the survivors will celebrate heartily at one of the local Brewery’s.

We will need some people to meet at 9:00 AM at the Silver Springs Park parking lot (end location of the trip). This will be arranged in advance of the trip. We will leave cars at this location to shuttle people back to the Hudson Crossing Park at the completion of the Kayak trip. We will also drop one vehicle off at the Bicentennial Park with our liquid refreshments for the lunch stop.

If you are interested in going, bring a check made payable to Piccadilly Ski Club to the June or July or PSC meetings (first come, first serve as there are limited spots available). If you cannot make the meeting, please contact Bill (bciciora@yahoo.com) or Ted (trourk1@yahoo.com) for information on where to send the payment. We need to have the Kayak reservations finalized no later than July 20th. The trip will go rain or shine, and no refunds can be expected after the July 20 deadline.
